Michael T. Lewenz, Esq. is a partner at Zebersky Payne, LLP. Mr. Lewenz practices personal injury litigation and represents clients who suffer injuries in car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, and wrongful death. In addition, Mr. Lewenz also represents individuals in disputes with insurance companies involving property damage, personal injury protection (PIP), and other insurance coverage litigation.  Mr. Lewenz is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Florida, and is one of a select group of personal injury lawyers to complete a jury trial through verdict in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, in front of Chief District Court Judge, K. Michael Moore.

Prior to joining Zebersky Payne, Michael Lewenz, Esq. was the co-founder of the South Florida business and trial firm, Shaw Lewenz, LLC, where he again focused on personal injury, personal injury protection (PIP), and complex commercial litigation.

Mr. Lewenz is an alumnus of The University of Miami School of law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at the University of Miami, Mr. Lewenz was a member of the University of Miami Law Review and completed in depth research with Professor Donald M. Jones, in the areas of constitutional law and profiling. Mr. Lewenz has also written on topics such as Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 36(b), and personal injury protection (PIP).

Having worked in Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit under The Honorable Lisa Porter, Mr. Lewenz has a comprehensive knowledge of not only civil procedure, but also Florida Rules of Evidence, and criminal procedure. Before attending law school Mr. Lewenz attended Loyola University Chicago where he received dual degrees in Marketing and Sport Management, and worked for the NFL Chicago Bears organization in their Advertisement and Events Department. In his four years in Chicago Mr. Lewenz was also involved in a variety of community and charity organizations such as Inspired Youth Chicago, and the “Vietnamese Association of Illinois.”
